I hate Pinterest. That may sound like strong words,
and maybe the word hate is too much.
The problem isn't pinterest itself, there are amazing ideas and photos that are fun to look at to get ideas from. The problem is that from time to time you always get that one person who says:
"I want my photos to look just like this"
Here is where the problem comes in, that pinterest picture is some else's special moment, not yours, and trying to recreate someone else's moment is rather difficult, if not damn near impossible. Your circumstances and environment will never be the same as someone else's.
It is never the same, it's just a copy of someone else's photo!
It is no longer your own and no longer special. Don't get me wrong, I love taking an idea and making it work for each of my clients, but to copy the photo itself doesn't capture you as an individual.
Which brings is us too these photos!
I am trying to stay sharp and continue to be unique, and think outside of box!!
Not relying on the Pinterest world, but working together to come up with ideas that talk about you personally.
Our challenge was simple; pick 30 to 40 black and white photos to use as a back drop,
then cast them on the wall for our model to stand in front of, and work out a way to make her interact with each photo.
Some simply did not work at all, others came out much better then expected!
The whole point was for us to do something different. Not look at what others have done.
Be unique, different, stay sharp!
We are trying to be Original,
we are trying to be Unique, we don't want to follow people.
We want people to follow us!
